With the Olympic Games approaching fast, time has come for Anky van Grunsven to make a decision between the young Upido and the veteran Salinero.

Taking into consideration that Upido (by Ferro) had a slight injury and so fell behind on training, Anky had to choose if force more on his youngster but decided it was healthier for him to slow.  Being London too early for Upido she decided to take her chances with Salinero.

Van Grunsven and Salinero (by Salieri) will participate at the Olympic observation for Dutch team to be held in Hoofddorp during the National Championship between the 6 and 10 of June.

Dutch coach Sjef Janssen confirmed the participation of Anky and Salinero saying that the 18 year old gelding Hannoverian is in great shape , with Salinero Anky won gold at the Olympics in the year 2004 and 2008 while in year 2000 triumphed with Bonfire.
